This is Tabitha. She was found in San Diego in a shelter about 1 1/2 years ago. She was almost dead, the bichon furkids rescue operation took her to a vetenarian in Irvine who sees rescue dogs for free. I agreed to take her as a foster mom. The day I was going to get her, the vet called me to tell me he had to operate on her and had never, in his 17 years of practice, seen anything close to what he found in her. She had been pregnant, and still had parts of puppies in her. Scar tissue had formed and was chocking every organ. Her uterus was torn completely and he had no idea how she was still alive. He said she had a 30% chance of surviving, depending on her strength and will to live. He said, "I heard you're a Pastor...well you better pray." He said I could call him the next day. I called everyone I could throughout the country to pray for this dog. During the night, I told God if he spared her, I'd share her story and let her minister to others. When I called the vet the next day, he said he sat up with her until about 11:30pm, then she took a turn for the better. He asked me if I'd like to pick her up the next day as she'd recover better in a loving home. I cried when I met her and she has been a blessing ever since! Obviously my husband and I adopted her. Her miracle was around the corner and she stayed alive to enjoy it! Your miracle is on it's way too....so hang in there and be strong; just like Tabitha.
She loves to be in the middle of everything and to ride in the car, visit the nursing homes and play with other dogs or humans. She's one of the most affectionate animals I've ever met. She continues to inspire me when I think I can't go on!
